Newswise offers an excellent service to medical and science writers. Chamberlain Communications Group used Newswise for the American Society of Hypertension (ASH) over the years with great results — LA Times, Washington Post, and a host of magazines and freelancers.
As Roger testifies, he dragged me into the computer era with Newswise by helping me post all the ASH scientific meeting news releases. It's like a virtual press room. That's what the computer jocks would say. I've always felt Newswise was a great value since many medical and science writers browse it. It is not like other services where news releases disappear.
