Newswise — Denver, Colorado -- The ACVIM Foundation recognizes the need to foster the professional development of veterinary clinician scientists who will advance animal health in the internal medicine disciplines. To that end, the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Foundation (ACVIMF) announced today a new call for proposals for three $25,000 fellowships. Academic or private practice institutions with at least one or more ACVIM-boarded Diplomates in the specialty discipline related to the fellowship program are invited to apply. Applicants are required to provide, at a minimum, matching funds of $25,000 in direct support of the program in the first year.

Fellowship proposals are due at 5:00 PM on September 1, 2014. Selected fellowship applicants will be notified on December 1st. For more information, visit www.ACVIMFoundation.org.
