Communications and DebateGreg Barnes is a professor of speech and mass communications, as well as the speech and debate coach at Broward College. He has planned a mock shadow debate at the Broward College Television Studios on Central Campus, which will be moderated Manny Munoz, co-host and executive producer for “South Florida's First News with Jimmy Cefalo” on News Radio 610 WIOD. Jamonica Rolle is associate dean of the communication and fine arts department on Broward College’s North Campus. Political Science, Florida and the NationKevin Walsh, Ph.D., is a professor of political science. He teaches classes on U.S. government, state and local government, and international relations. Walsh’s areas of expertise include political parties, elections, domestic and international policy, campaigns, voting and constitutional law. He can also provide comment on past governors of Florida. Gregory Adam Haile, Esq., general counsel and vice president for public policy and government affairs at Broward College, oversees all local, state, and federal government affairs for Broward College. Political Science – International AffairsBarry Mowell, Ph.D., is a senior professor of international relations. His expertise includes foreign policy, international conflicts, wars and insurrections in many regions, including Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia and the Ukraine. Women’s StudiesSheila Jones, Ph.D., is the interim district director of the Honors Institute and a professor of history, with a focus on the feminist movement in the United States and women’s social issues. Social IssuesRobert Gallagher is an assistant professor of sociology, social problems, race and ethnic relations, as well as human sexuality. Lulrick Balzora is the associate dean of the social sciences department on Broward College’s Central Campus and teaches classes on world religion.
