Newswise — OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton University Business Institute and Agile Transformation Inc. are teaming up to offer the first for-credit Master’s Certificate in Project Management. The program begins June 12. An online only course will be offered in the fall.

Participants will prepare to sit for the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or the Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certification. In addition, there are two four-day courses, Managing Projects and Mastering Projects, earning nine hours of MBA credit through the Heider College of Business.

These learning and development programs are open to professionals interested in project management, agile, lean and organizational transformation methods that can be applied to technology and business practices.

The cost of the master’s certificate in project management is $5,357 with University fees waived.

Managing projects introduces the basic concepts and examines the practical applications of strategic leadership, project planning and management. In class, participants apply these concepts and principles in real-world scenarios. More advanced topics are explored in the areas of teams and leadership, project performance management, procurement, risk management and interpersonal and soft skills for the human side of project management in mastering projects course.

Participants gain practical agile experience in simulated project labs allowing them to work as a team and apply their knowledge and execution skills in project processes.
