Newswise — Lawrence D. Kingsley of Rye, N.Y., has been elected to the Clarkson University Board of Trustees. He will serve on the finance & budget and facilities committees.

Kingsley received his bachelor of science degree in industrial distribution from Clarkson in 1985. He holds an MBA from the College of William and Mary.

He became an advisory director to Berkshire Partners in 2016 and serves on the boards of Rockwell Automation and Polaris Industries.

Kingsley served as chairman and CEO of Pall Corporation from 2013 to 2015, and as CEO and president from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, he served in the roles of chairman, CEO and president of IDEX Corporation between 2004 and 2011.

He also held management positions at Danaher Corporation, including corporate vice president and group executive; several positions with Kollmorgen Corporation, including vice president and general manager for European operations; and at Weidmuller Incorporated as vice president of marketing.

In 2010, Kingsley received the Golden Knight Award, Clarkson's most prestigious alumni award, which is given to alumni who have distinguished themselves either by service to Clarkson through Alumni Association activities or have demonstrated outstanding career achievement, bringing distinction to themselves and to Clarkson. He has also served on Clarkson's Business Leadership Council.
