Newswise — Lippincott Williams & Wilkins has signed an agreement to serve as publisher of The European Journal of Anaesthesiology starting in 2009. The journal is the official publication of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) and is highly regarded in the field of anaesthesiology. Lippincott Williams & Wilkins is part of Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading provider of information and business intelligence for students, professionals, and institutions in medicine, nursing, allied health, pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry.

Each issue of The European Journal of Anaesthesiology publishes original work of high scientific quality. Preference is given to experimental work or clinical trials and to laboratory work of clinical relevance. The journal also publishes commissioned reviews by an authority in a field of interest to those working in anaesthesiology, pain or intensive care. Abstracts of scientific meetings, editorials, book reviews, news and notices are also included.
