In post-liberationist American culture, struggles over identity politics have placed straight white men in the bright lights of cultural investigation and critique, thus making many men feel "marked" by feminism and other liberationist movements and discourses, says Texas A&M University Professor Dr. Sally Robinson. Robinson is the director of graduate studies and an associate professor in the Department of English at Texas A&M. Her expertise includes postmodernism, American cultural studies, and gender studies. Her latest book is “Marked Men: White Masculinity in Crisis.”
