Projected numbers of Zika virus infections among childbearing women at 5 km x 5 km resolution across Latin America and the Caribbean. Perkins and his colleagues projected what proportion of the population in each of these areas could become infected and combined those projections with data on human demography and birth rates to arrive at these estimates.
