A Texas A&M doctoral student has developed a new type of camera that could reveal new secrets about the universe. Ting Li, who is pursuing her doctorate in astronomy, has devised the aTmCam – short for Atmospheric Transmission Monitoring Camera – that can measure changes in light throughout the atmosphere and can be used to study dark energy. Her camera is now operating at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile.
