Newswise — Chicago, IL (February 3, 2015): Pulitzer Prize-winning author and oncologist, Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., Ph.D., will be the opening keynote speaker at the HOPA 12th Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Mukherjee, a leading cancer physician and researcher, authored the Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction in 2011. This was later adapted into a six-hour film released in March 2015 titled “Cancer: the Emperor of All Maladies.” Other notable works by Dr. Mukherjee include The Laws of Medicine, multiple articles published in national news outlets, and the forthcoming The Gene.

The HOPA Annual Conference is the premier learning event for all practitioners who specialize in the field of hematology/oncology pharmacy. Conference programming is designed for seasoned and new practitioners alike, providing education and resources to help attendees deliver the highest quality of care for their patients.
