As parts of the Midwest recover from 81 devastating tornadoes, Keith Tidball, leader of the Nature and Human Security Program at Cornell University and an expert in emergency response, is available to explain the recovery process.

Tidball is also coordinator for the New York Extension Disaster Education Network and was a leader in Joplin, Missouri’s recovery following an EF5 multiple-vortex tornado in 2011. Earlier this month, Tidball was in Joplin as part of his Landscapes of Resilience project, which uses nature to help people bounce back from natural catastrophes.
