The top U.S. diplomat for Latin America will travel to Cuba later this month, becoming the highest-ranking serving American official to set foot on the island since Washington broke relations with Havana following the Cuban Revolution.

Dr. R. Scott Crichlow, associate professor of political science and the director of the John D. Rockefeller IV School of Policy and Politics at West Virginia University, is available to speak to media.

Dr. Crichlow's interests include international relations, U.S. foreign policy, political psychology, and Middle Eastern politics. His current research focuses on how group decision-making dynamics and the beliefs and personality traits of political leaders affect foreign policy.
