Rejected migrants potential terrorist recruits

Barry Strauss, military historian, prolific author, and chair of the History Department at Cornell University, says security issues should be considered when dealing with the current migration crisis in Europe.

Strauss says:

"The European migrant crisis is a drama with many faces: humanitarian, political, and economic, but security issues should not be overlooked. If the migrants are turned away, what will become of them? Will their ranks be breeding grounds for terrorism?

“If the migrants are accepted, how well will they assimilate to European society? Much depends on just who the migrants are and how committed European states are to assimilation and absorption.”
