Event to benefit Meridian Health’s cardiac programs and technology

Newswise — Neptune, NJ ― The annual fall event hosted by the Meridian Health Women’s Philanthropic Fund (WPF) will take place on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 6:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. at Restaurant Nicholas in Red Bank. All proceeds raised will benefit Meridian Health’s cardiac programs and technology.

The Women’s Philanthropic Fund’s mission is to educate people in Monmouth and Ocean counties about the importance of heart health and to raise funds for heart programs, services, and technology at Meridian Health. Each year, the WPF board selects and supports one cardiac program, service, or technology provided by Meridian Health.

The evening will feature wine, hors d’oeuvres and a light supper as well as a live auction and 50/50 raffle. Entertainment will be provided by illusionist Oz Pearlman. Valet parking is also available.

Tickets for the event are $125 each and 50/50 tickets are $50 each. Many sponsorship opportunities are currently available.

Last year’s WPF luncheon raised more than $30,000 to fund the Pediatric Cardiology Program housed at K. Hovanian Children’s Hospital. This year’s funds are focused on vascular screening equipment to benefit the local community. In 15 minutes, AngioScreen® is able to provide patients with information about the risk of heart disease and stroke through several non-diagnostic tests.
