Allstate New Jersey Raises $50K for The Cancer Institute of New Jersey Through Annual Campaign

Newswise — New Brunswick, N.J., January 29, 2013 – Helping to make a positive local impact in the fight against cancer, Allstate New Jersey Insurance Company has once again raised $50,000 through its annual ‘Quotes for a Cure’ campaign to benefit The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. This year’s effort brings the total amount raised over the past four years to $150,000.

During the month of September, Allstate New Jersey donated $10 to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation for every auto or life insurance policy quote requested through Allstate’s 230 agents. The funds support research, treatment, prevention and education programs at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, which is a Center of Excellence of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

“Allstate New Jersey’s commitment to community involvement is a natural extension of what we do every day. Helping protect people and preparing them for life’s uncertainties makes our communities stronger,” said Rich Crist, president of Allstate New Jersey Insurance Company.

“The efforts by Allstate New Jersey through the ‘Quotes for a Cure’ campaign enable our team of experts, to reach a little further in the everyday work they do,” noted Leanne Kochy, director of major gifts for the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation. “This translates into more scientific discovery, new and improved treatment options for patients and more education and outreach programs for the community. We are grateful once again to Allstate New Jersey for its continued commitment to this cause.”

Allstate agents and representatives recently visited The Cancer Institute of New Jersey for a laboratory tour and to learn how their efforts during the ‘Quotes for a Cure’ campaign are helping to drive cutting-edge research and supporting cancer prevention and education initiatives.
