                       “Combatting the Opioid Epidemic Through Innovation in the Treatment of Pain”

                       Unique opportunity to cover the latest clinical and scientific discoveries concerned with solving the                           opioids epidemic and developing effective alternative therapies.

WHY:              Plenary sessions and panel symposia during the APS conference will dwell on new research to                                  discover safer pain medications and on promising non-pharmaceutical interventions for chronic pain.                        Speakers will share emerging science and how it translates to clinical practice. Officials from the                              National Institutes of Health will provide updates on the NIH HEAL Initiative (Helping to End                                    Addiction Long-term) and its potential to significantly advance pain science.
