Andrew Natsios is a former administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and was special envoy to Sudan under President George W. Bush. An expert in famine and global hunger, he is currently an executive professor at Texas A&M University’s Bush School of Government and Public Service where he teaches students about humanitarian aid during conflict. He recently testified before Congress on issues related to U.S. humanitarian aid system reforms. His research focuses on the various causes and effects of famine and he is the author of three books including The Great North Korean Famine (2001).
