February, American Heart Month, is the ideal time to focus on the prevention and treatment of heart disease.
The University of Maryland Heart Center is a nationally recognized heart center with expertise in preventive cardiology, as well as the medical management and surgical treatment of heart disease in its many forms.
Now, more than ever, children with congenital heart disease are growing into adulthood, thanks to significant advances in medicine over the past 20 years. The University of Maryland Heart Center has the only board-certified adult congenital heart surgeon in Maryland to help these adults continue to live healthy lives.
