#MeToo movement founder Tarana Burke to speak at UCI

BACKGROUND: Burke’s talk is part of the Perspectives on Bias, Prejudice & Bigotry Lecture Series, organized by UCI’s Office of Inclusive Excellence and supported by the campuswide Confronting Extremism initiative, which uses conversations, education and research to address contemporary issues shaping free speech, human rights, and the use of science and evidence to promote societal well-being.

Co-sponsors of the event include UCI’s Initiative to End Family Violence, Womxn’s Hub, and Campus Assault Resources & Education.
