Sekeres, MD, MS, as Clinical Advisory Editor for Hematology/Oncology, and Ramaswamy Govindan, MD, as Clinical Advisory Editor for Oncology. Dr. Sekeres is Director of the Leukemia Program at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute, where he is also chair of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. He is a staff member in the Department of Hematologic Oncology and Blood Disorders and holds a joint appointment in the Departments of Translational Hematology and Oncology Research. Dr. Sekeres is also Associate Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, having trained earlier in his career at Harvard University.

Dr. Sekeres, also a member of the FDA’s Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee, said, “I am looking forward to collaborating with the outstanding staff at Oncology Times in bringing the latest in news and independent opinion to the hematology and oncology community.”

A member of the National Cancer Institute’s PDQ Editorial Board, he is also Co-chair of the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board. He has had several leadership roles in the American Society of Hematology, has served as a peer reviewer for all the major hematology/oncology journals, has over 100 scientific publications, and has been on the Best Doctors list of Cleveland Magazine for the last three years.

Dr. Govindan, an internationally recognized expert in lung cancer, is the Director of the Thoracic Medical Oncology Program at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine, as well as Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Govindan, who currently serves as the Editor of the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s annual Education Book and has authored, coauthored, or edited numerous papers and publications, said, “It is a real honor to work with the distinguished experts and staff at Oncology Times.
