Newswise — The UB/Towson online M.B.A. program is the only online M.B.A. program ranked in Maryland by U.S. News & World Report. The program, offered by the University of Baltimore and Towson University, is #58 nationwide in the magazine's latest annual ranking of Best Online Programs. In three criteria components used by U.S. News to score M.B.A. programs—Faculty Credentials and Training, Student Services and Technology, and Admissions Selectivity—the UB/Towson online M.B.A. scored in the top 15 percent of all online graduate business programs across the country.

"We have always known that our online M.B.A. was strong in the national marketplace, and to learn that we ranked in the top third of all the accredited institutions that grant master's degrees in business is an important validation for this excellent program," said Darlene Smith, dean of UB's Merrick School of Business. "The U.S. News ranking is further affirmation of the high quality of the M.B.A. program and its mission to help students reach their goals through flexible formats," added Shohreh Kaynama, dean of Towson's College of Business and Economics.

The UB/Towson online M.B.A. outpaced the online graduate business program at George Mason University (#59), Boston University (#66) and Hofstra University (#71).
