Mark Burton, a research associate professor in the UT Department of Economics and faculty of the UT Center for Transportation Research, has conducted research in many aspects of truck driver safety. He notes that driver fatigue, particularly fatigue among all transportation workers, including airline pilots, is one of the most vexing problems today.
