Newswise — Seventeen student businesses have entered the Babson College MBA Entrepreneurship Intensity Track program. EIT offers students the opportunity to earn an MBA degree and launch a business at the same time.

EIT is a year-long academic program. Students apply each April, and, if selected, are encouraged to take part in internships with start-up companies during the summer semester. These internships offer a total immersion in the start-up world. During the fall semester, students begin pursuing an integrated, highly focused entrepreneurial curriculum designed to deliver the skills needed to shepherd a business idea through the stages of exploration, investigation, and refinement. This academically rigorous curriculum includes both classroom and "reality-based" activities. By the spring semester, EIT students are expected to fund and launch businesses.
