Newswise — Journalists are invited to cover proceedings of the 28th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Pain Society to be held May 7- 9 at the San Diego Convention Center. Some 2,000 scientists and clinicians specializing in pain and pain management are expected to attend. APS is the leading multidisciplinary professional organization in the United States dedicated to advancing pain-related research, education, treatment and team-oriented professional practice.
Scientific sessions will cover a wide range of topics on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute pain, chronic cancer and non-cancer pain and recurrent pain. Pain research also is a major focus of the meeting. Many of the nation's leading pain researchers will present their latest discoveries in panel and poster presentations.
