Newswise — Chicago, IL (Nov. 12, 2013): The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) presented Diana Campos, BSN RN PHN CRRN, with the 2013 ARN Nurse Manager Role Award. Campos received her award at the 39th Annual ARN Educational Conference, held October 2-5 in Charlotte, NC.

The Nurse Manager Role Award recognizes a nurse who has contributed to the advancement of rehabilitation nursing care in a middle management position. Campos works as the Director of Patient Care Services/Branch Manager at Assisted Healthcare Services in Northridge, CA, where she supervises three case managers, seven office personnel and 200 field staff.

Campos has been an ARN member for 10 years, during which she served as the President of the Los Angeles/Orange County chapter for one year. At work, Campos is the only CRRN and colleagues say that they consistently consult her on patient issues and serves as a great mentor.

“At a personal nurse to nurse level, Diana is a great communicator and she works on teamwork with her staff to complete any necessary rehab care. Through her positive role modelling, she encourages her staff to further their education, which helps add to the rehab spectrum,” says Crystal Barker in her nomination of Campos for the award.
