Newswise — Babson College’s Fast Track MBA program is expected to double in size by March, just one year after the program was first launched.

The Fast Track MBA program, designed for experienced professionals, develops leaders with a strong business foundation and an entrepreneurial mindset. The program is delivered via a blend of in-person and web-based learning platforms and is completed in a two-year, part-time format. Babson’s Fast Track MBA features the same faculty and academic frameworks that’s made the school the top-ranked program in entrepreneurship for seventeen consecutive years.

“I wanted a mid-career program that was academically sophisticated, but also practical and grounded in the real world – and Babson has a prestigious program that offers just that,” said Howard Simon, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Services at InterMune, Inc., a Bay Area biotechnology company. “Silicon Valley is the central hub of American innovation and entrepreneurship, so it’s no surprise the Babson program is growing so quickly here.”

This year alone Babson has been ranked the #1 school in entrepreneurship by U.S. News & World Report, the Financial Times, the Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine.

The Fast Track program combines today’s business disciplines with Babson’s unique focus on Entrepreneurial Thought and Action™ in a climate where students learn by doing. This practical, hands-on approach, coupled with Fast Track’s class make-up (the average student brings 14 years of working experience to the classroom), creates a dynamic learning environment for experienced professionals.

The program offers a blend of periodic, on-site meetings at the school’s new facility in the South of Market neighborhood with virtual learning using the most up-to-date and innovative communication technologies to accommodate even the busiest work schedules.

“San Francisco is home to a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. Business leaders here accept and learn from failure, have an appetite for risk and have the support of local resources, culture and talent driven by entrepreneurship,” said Raghu Tadepalli, Murata Dean, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. “Our Fast Track MBA is designed to help foster and develop an entrepreneurial mindset that will drive lasting business success for our graduates. This is precisely why our Fast Track MBA program has been such a success in the Bay Area, because of the undeniable spirit of entrepreneurship in the region.”
