Newswise — Babson College has been ranked among the top 30 undergraduate business programs in BusinessWeek's first ever rankings of the Top 50 Undergraduate Business Schools.

Babson was ranked #28 overall. In addition, Babson was ranked 5th in academic quality (behind Wharton, Carnegie Mellon, Richmond, and Virginia) and given an A+ in teaching quality.

This placement follows Babson's #26 overall ranking in the latest U.S. News & World Report undergraduate rankings. BusinessWeek identified 84 colleges that met stringent quality criteria, and then surveyed nearly 100,000 business majors, asking them to rate their programs on everything from curriculum and faculty to facilities and grading policies. They also surveyed 2,000 recruiters and representatives of the business programs themselves. BusinessWeek's ranking measures several criteria, including student engagement, postgraduation outcomes, and academic quality.

BusinessWeek's complete rankings of the Top 50 Undergraduate Business Schools is available in the May 8, 2006 issue of BusinessWeek (on newsstands May 1st).
