Newswise — Babson College, ranked #1 in the world in entrepreneurship, announced today it has signed a lease on property in San Francisco’s South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood. This new facility, equipped with the latest classroom technologies and tele-presence capabilities, will house Babson’s Fast Track MBA program, effective with the next class that begins in March, 2011. The 7,000 square-foot facility, located at 135 Main Street, will give Babson needed space as it expands its west coast MBA program.
“This announcement is a strong signal of our commitment to the bay area and clearly identifies San Francisco as the hub of our Fast Track operations to serve the western United States”, said Raghu Tadepalli, Murata Dean, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. “The new location will allow us to grow our program by 80 students next spring. In addition, this facility will afford the bay area community access to content generated by faculty and students who are deeply committed to advancing Babson’s unique approach to entrepreneurial management education. In addition, Babson will be able to act as a convener for the community – our facility playing a key role in academic, professional, and networking events.”
Babson’s Fast Track MBA program, launched in San Francisco in March, 2010, is designed for experienced professionals. The program develops leaders with a strong business foundation and an entrepreneurial mindset. Learning is delivered via a blend of in-person and web-based learning platforms and is completed in a two-year, part-time format. Babson’s Fast Track MBA features the same faculty that’s made the school the top-ranked program in entrepreneurship for seventeen consecutive years in U.S. News & World Report, as well producing graduates recently ranked in the Top 10 by recruiters surveyed in Bloomberg BusinessWeek for marketing, accounting, and analytical abilities.
