Newswise — CHICAGO –  Futurist Mike Walsh, CEO of innovation consultancy Tomorrow and award-winning, bestselling author of Futuretainment, is delivering the keynote address at the American Association of Endodontists’ annual meeting known as AAE19 in Montréal, taking place April 10-13.

Walsh will kick off the gathering of endodontists from around the world at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. His speech will touch on the importance of adapting dentistry, practices and small business for the 21st century. Walsh will summarize trends currently shaping the future of business and consumer behavior, and the lessons learned from successful Fortune 500 companies on leveraging disruptive innovation, adopting a data-driven mindset and leading change through digital transformation.

Walsh was recognized as one of Australia’s “Top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30”. He then spent five years in senior strategy roles at News Corporation, where he helped shape the digital strategy for both their Australian newspaper and Asian TV divisions. Directly engaged by the CEO of Star TV to provide the company with a digital roadmap for their operations, he began his in-depth research into the fast growth markets of Asia, which became the inspiration for his first book, Futuretainment.

The bestselling book won an Art Directors Club of New York award. Walsh’s latest book is The Dictionary of Dangerous Ideas, a collection of the most challenging concepts facing business leaders at the dawn of the 21st century. Each week, he interviews provocative thinkers, innovators and troublemakers on his weekly podcast, “Between Worlds”.

The AAE19 events also include the Association President's Breakfast, the AAE award ceremony and a variety of hands-on, educational opportunities for dental professionals. To view the entire meeting schedule, visit aae.org/AAE19.
