Saint Mary's College political science professor Sean Savage says: "The Democratic national convention needs to portray and persuasively communicate the message to undecided voters that a Romney-Ryan administration would implement extreme, unjust, and painful changes in popular federal programs, such as Medicare, Head Start, and student loans."
"Several speakers at the Democratic national convention will probably focus on a variety of non-economic issues, such as reproductive freedom for women, troop reductions in Afghanistan and the withdrawal from Iraq, and Obama's most recent actions and proposals on immigration reform and education."
