GCEE is a vehicle to develop curriculum, initiate collaborative projects with international partners in the field of entrepreneurship education, and create a platform for the global exchange and integration of best practices in entrepreneurship education.

“The Summit constitutes an important event for GCEE and was represented by member institutions and guests from over fifteen countries,” said Administrative Director Tom Simon.

One of the invited guest speakers who could not attend was His Highness Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, United Arab Emirates. His Highness, however, was kind enough to send a video message in which he explained the importance of GCEE to UAE as follows:

“The Ministry of Higher Education is committed to continuously improving the quality of academic programs and ensuring that the colleges and universities of the United Arab Emirates operate at international standards of quality. The mission of GCEE is very consistent with our objective. Together, GCEE members will address entrepreneurship education in a comprehensive manner at the global level while developing high-impact solutions for the local context for participating countries and regions. As a global group devoted to cutting edge educational techniques and pedagogies, GCEE will ensure continuous improvement and excellence in entrepreneurship education for its partner schools. This is the reason why Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) joined GCEE as the first and only founding life-time partner. It is a means to ensure that ADSM continues to be an excellent institution of higher learning.”

His Highness ended his message by committing to host the next GCEE summit in Abu Dhabi – an invitation that well received by all GCEE members. Most are excited about the visit, said Simon.

Attendees heard from Babson senior management, a keynote speaker, and had ample networking with other attendees and Babson faculty and staff. Members spent a day working on an actionable agenda for GCEE for the upcoming year.
