Newswise — Elaine J. Eisenman, has been appointed Dean of Babson Executive Education, ranked among the world's leading providers of executive education programs.

Eisenman has held senior executive positions at American Express, Enhance Financial Services Co., The Children's Place, PDI International, and Management & Capital Partners.

As an experienced business leader and general manager, HR executive, private and public Board member, and organizational consultant, Eisenman's knowledge and skills cover a wide range of executive management issues including: executive selection, transition, and succession, and the alignment of strategy, selection, compensation, and performance during periods of growth and transformation as well as corporate governance. Eisenman has also managed the human side of acquisition and integration through multiple acquisitions for three companies.

As Senior Vice President at American Express, Eisenman helped to redesign its human resources function and managed all global HR processes, including staffing, executive and management development, performance management, succession planning, and talent gap analyses.

During her tenure as General Manager at PDI International, a management consulting firm, she built up the Northeast to become the most profitable operating region in the firm.

At Enhance Financial Services Group, a NYSE company, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, charged with the design and implementation of the human resources function to support an aggressive acquisition strategy.

And most recently, as Chairman of Management and Capital Partners/Return on Management, Dean Eisenman focused on the growth and transition of a wide variety of companies.

Dean Eisenman is currently co-authoring a book entitled, I Didn't See It Coming: How to Get to the Top Without Being Blind-sided, to be published by Harvard Business School Press in 2006. Her article, Power in the Post-Sarbanes Oxley Boardroom was recently published in Directorship.

For the past nine years, Dean Eisenman served on the Board of UST, Inc.. She has also served on a wide number of private and not-for-profit boards and advisory boards including HRLogic, a Fidelity Capital startup, Center for Creative Leadership, DownLite, Metrohome, AIESEC, The Belizean Grove, Women Corporate Directors, and the Irvington Children's Center.

Eisenman holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University, and an MS from Columbia University.
