DEMONSTRATION OF HOW ELECTRICITY IS MADE (10:45 a.m.) TU Electric employee Daniel Berhe and ASME North Dallas section volunteer David Ringhausen use steam kettles and a peddle-powered generator to illustrate how electricity is made.

PANEL OF STUDENT ENGINEERS (11:30 a.m.) An Southern Methodist University (SMU) student and a recent graduate will speak with middle school students about the career paths and choices they made to study engineering in college

The ASME Middle School Enrichment Program, sponsored by the Board on Pre-College Education, is designed to inspire math/science interest in minority school students from the Dallas area by introducing them to engineering, engineering activities and practicing engineers.
