The release of the Report of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2010 creates new opportunities for industry to reformulate products that meet the nutritional and health needs of consumers. Speakers, Dr. Robert Post, Deputy Director of the USDA’s Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion and Dr. John Floros, Director of the Pennsylvania State University Department of Food Science and also former IFT President will discuss strategies on how the food industry can reformulate new products to meet consumer nutrition and health needs and also counter the obesity epidemic.
