January 15 – 21 is ‘Teen Cancer Awareness Week’ in New Jersey

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month

Some 12,700 new cases of cervical cancer are expected to be diagnosed nationally by year’s end. Risk factors for developing this disease include HPV infection, family history, smoking and not getting regular Pap tests at recommended intervals.
