"We're honored to be recognized as one of the nation's most wired. We've made strong commitments to using information technology to help improve quality of care at Methodist, such as implementing a system-wide, integrated electronic medical record," said Timothy Thompson, vice president of information technology at Methodist.

The study, published in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, ranked Methodist among the nation's top hospitals that use information technology to improve patient flow, track medical records, create systems for disaster recovery and apply analytical tools that focus on clinical technology.

The Most Wired Survey is conducted annually by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, which uses the results to name the 100 Most Wired hospitals and health systems.
