WHO: American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) is an association of over 6,000 gastrointestinal professionals committed to the scientific study and medical treatment of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.
WHAT: Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, but over 90 percent of these deaths could be prevented with early screening and detection of polyps in the colon. Gastrointestinal specialists will address new guidelines from the American Cancer Society recommending regular colon cancer screenings for individuals over 50.
