TEMPLE UNIVERSITY TO FORMALLY NAME ITS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT FOR LONGTIME TRUSTEE RICHARD J. FOX; JACK KEMP WILL GIVE KEYNOTE TALK AT CONVOCATION

At a special Convocation on Tuesday, Sept. 21, Temple University will officially commemorate the naming of its School of Business and Management for Richard J. Fox, chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, a business and civic leader and philanthropist whose extraordinary record of service to Temple spans more than three decades.

The Convocation, which will include a keynote address by Jack Kemp, the former U.S. Congressman and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, is set for 4 p.m., in the Esther Boyer Theater at The Apollo of Temple, 1776 N. Broad St., with a reception following. Kemp, the Republican party's vice presidential nominee in 1996, is currently co-director of Empower America, a public policy and advocacy organization he co-founded in 1993 with William Bennett and Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick.

In addition, the University will award three prominent members of the greater Philadelphia business community with honorary degrees at the Convocation ceremony. They are:
