Newswise — Chicago (October 28, 2015): The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) immediate past-President, Sharon Murphy-Potts, awarded Elaine Flynn with the 2015 President’s Award, an award that is given at the President’s discretion to a passionate ambassador for rehabilitation nursing. It recognizes an individual who has demonstrated special service to ARN as a leader, exemplified the organization’s philosophy and goals, and has projected a positive image of rehabilitation nursing in all areas.

Flynn is an Infection Preventionist at Moss Rehab/Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and a leader in the ARN Greater Philadelphia Chapter. She has served as both a member and Paper and Poster Co-chair for various ARN conference Planning Committees. She has also presented at many conferences as an expert on numerous topics. Flynn previously served as a member of the Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board, served as a member of the ARN Budget & Finance committee, and contributed to the Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation (RNF) Research Agenda.
