The CHEST Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), has a wide variety of community-based activities planned during CHEST 2001, the annual scientific assembly of the ACCP.

Philadelphia Eagle Hollis Thomas; Larry Robinson, MD, deputy health commissioner of Philadelphia's Department of Public Health; Salvatore Mangione, MD, FCCP, Thomas Jefferson University, medical director of the AsthmaBUSters Program; and ACCP members will visit Roberto Clemente Middle School and Fairhill Elementary School to teach children about lung health and asthma care.
