Newswise — (New York — June 09, 2015) The Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai ranked again among the country’s top children’s hospitals in pediatric specialties, according to the newly issued U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” guidebook for 2015-2016.

The hospital made significant gains this year, ranking in seven of ten specialties tracked, and achieving for the first time top 20 rankings in Pulmonology and Nephrology. The rankings, published annually, recognize the nation’s top 50 children’s hospitals in ten pediatric specialty areas.

The Kravis Children’s Hospital, which manages more than 70,000 outpatient visits and 3,000 inpatient stays each year, ranked in the following specialties:- Pulmonology: No. 18, up from No. 30- Nephrology: No. 19, up from No. 29- Gastroenterology & GI Surgery: No. 25, up from No. 40- Neurology & Neurosurgery: No. 25, up from No. 29- Urology: No. 34, up from No. 50- Diabetes & Endocrinology: No. 36- Cancer: No. 50
