Newswise — Reston, VA (March 27, 2012) — The American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Radiology Leadership Institute™ (RLI) has released the official program for the RLI Inaugural Event, to be held July 12-15, 2012, at the Kellogg School of Management on Northwestern University’s Evanston, IL, campus. This one-time only event features renowned Kellogg faculty, radiology thought leaders and keynote speaker, Jeffrey R. Immelt, chairman and CEO of General Electric. The event will offer a total of 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Creating a culture of leadership, organizational strategy, reputation management and service as a competitive advantage are among the hot topics to be examined by faculty from Kellogg’s prestigious Health Enterprise Management Program and well-known radiology leaders. Speakers will facilitate interactive discussions designed to provide attendees with skills and information that can be immediately applied to the radiology-business setting.
Nabil Al-Najjar, chair of the managerial economics and decision sciences department at Kellogg, will identify the difference between effective and ineffective decision making — challenging attendees to become better decision makers themselves. Harry M. Jansen Kraemer, Jr., MBA, former chairman and CEO of Baxter International Inc., will focus on values-based leadership, emphasizing opportunities for leadership at all organizational levels.
Other notable Kellogg faculty to present: Lynn Cohn, JD, director of the program on negotiations and mediation at Northwestern Law School; Daniel Diermeier, PhD, IBM Professor of Regulation and Competitive Practice and professor of managerial economics and decision sciences; and Edward J. Zajac, PhD, the James F. Beré Chair in Management and Organizations and professor of health industry management.

Lexa, MD, MBA, vice chairman and a professor of radiology at the Drexel University College of Medicine, and Arl Van Moore, JR, MD, FACR, chair of Strategic Radiology and president of Charlotte Radiology.
