Newswise — Two teams of undergraduate students from Babson College won top awards in the Global Innovation Tournament at Stanford University during Global Entrepreneurship Week.

The Global Innovation Tournament is an "Apprentice-style" competition open to student teams around the world. Teams are given four days to create as much value as possible from a common, everyday object and submit a three-minute YouTubeâ„¢ video demonstrating the value established. This year the object was water bottles.

Babson's E-Tower dorm for entrepreneurs (http://www.etower.org/) sponsored the local competition and judged submissions, awarded prizes, and submitted winners to Stanford " the global host school. The organizers at Stanford University then judged and selected 22 global winners from 292 submissions from around the world.

The Babson College/Olin College team, Bottled Solutions, won Best Overall award. Team members are:

Judges included Stanford University representatives, entrepreneurs, and senior business executives.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in the U.S. and the Make Your Mark campaign in the UK joined forces to create Global Entrepreneurship Week.
