Dr. Susannah Koontz, PharmD, BCOP, FHOPA, principal at Koontz Oncology Consulting, LLC, will lead the discussion. Koontz serves as a consultant for pharmacy practice, medical education and clinical research in the fields of pediatric hematology, oncology and hematopoietic cell transplantation. Koontz has held faculty appointments at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and the University of Texas (Austin) College of Pharmacy and has trained over two dozen PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy residents.
The Emerging Issues in Oncology Webinars series is part of the new educational programming HOPA has made available to help pharmacists fulfill their BCOP recertification needs. The five webinars presented throughout the year review key findings from clinical and translational research, and data presented at national oncology meetings.

HOPA supports research, conducts educational conferences to advance knowledge, encourages professional development and advocates for health policy issues that improve patient care. HOPA has more than 2,500 members and includes oncology pharmacists, as well as pharmacy administrators, researchers, residents, interns and technicians specializing in hematology/oncology practice.
