Newswise — With "Black Friday" next week and the traditional holiday shopping season to follow, consumers will be clicking for online shopping more than ever.
The Consumer Protection Working Group of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section recently launched a new "safeselling.org" site to provide Web-based demonstration materials regarding the legal effects of various common commercial practices.
The site provides options available to persons making and enforcing simple contracts on the Internet.
The Consumer Protection Working Group publishes educational pieces for web consumers and for small web entrepreneurs, such as the ABA’s well-received "safeshopping.org" project which helps consumers order safely when shopping online.
James Nehf, professor of law at Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, co-chairs the Consumer Protection Working Group.
Nehf is available for information and interviews regarding the new Web site and other Consumer Protection projects.
