Newswise — The Montefiore-Einstein Abdominal Organ Transplantation Service will hold an Abdominal Organ Transplant Symposium on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm at the Moses Division of Montefiore Medical Center on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx, NY.

The accredited event will cover an array of current clinical research initiatives in kidney, pancreas and liver transplantation; present cutting-edge clinical advances in abdominal organ transplantation; have sessions on pre-transplant immunological risk assessment; present current options for incompatible donors; discuss gene expression signatures of allograft status; provide an update on liver regeneration and stem cells: discuss best practices and management solutions, and facilitate the exchange of clinical information through panel discussions.
