Communications and DebateGreg Barnes is a professor of speech and mass communications, as well as the speech and debate coach at Broward College. Political Science, Florida and the NationKevin Walsh, Ph.D., is a professor of political science. He teaches classes on U.S. government, state and local government, and international relations. Political Science – International AffairsBarry Mowell, Ph.D., is a senior professor of international relations. His expertise includes foreign policy, international conflicts, wars and insurrections in many regions, including Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia and the Ukraine. Women’s StudiesSheila Jones, Ph.D., is the interim district director of the Honors Institute and a professor of history, with a focus on the feminist movement in the United States and women’s social issues. Social IssuesRobert Gallagher is an assistant professor of sociology, social problems, race and ethnic relations, as well as human sexuality. Lulrick Balzora is the associate dean of the social sciences department on Broward College’s Central Campus and teaches classes on world religion.
