Dr. Stacy Suskauer is director of Brain Injury Rehabilitation Programs at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Her primary research focus is understanding and optimizing outcomes after brain injury or concussions. She is available to discuss the impact concussions have on athletes in the short-term and over time, how they must recover and the latest trends in concussion research. She recently received a grant from the NFL to examine youth sport-related concussions and recovery using somatosensory processing. Dr. Suskauer attended Duke University for her undergraduate and medical education and completed her residency program in pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Suskauer could speak to media about her experience with concussion research and brain injury in relation to the Olympic games.
