Newswise — NEW YORK -- Doctor/Chef Robert Graham held a session at the International Restaurant and Foodservice Show on, “FRESH Food Tips for a Sustainable and Healthy Lifestyle, One Meal at a Time.” Dr. Graham is the co-founder of FRESH Medicine, whose mission is to improve health by addressing the five pillars of well-being: Food, Relaxation, Exercise, Sleep and Happiness.

As a longtime advocate of Meatless Monday, Dr. Graham encouraged attendees to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diets. During the session, Dr. Graham addressed ways that our food system and food trends have misshapen the way we eat and how to use food as medicineSaid simply, “Eat more plants; eat less meat. Meatless Monday is a simple way to eat more plants.”

Dr. Graham has prescribed “food as medicine” for over 10 years, as a leader in the field of Integrative Medicine. He believes that food holds the key to health and recently graduated from the Natural Gourmet Institute, adding Chef to his certifications. Dr. Graham has taught over 500 healthcare workers, mostly doctors, how to cook whole food plant-based meals.
