The National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL) is a core partner with the Alliance for Excellent Education, the organization responsible for creating Digital Learning Day (DLD), a national celebration of educators that highlights successful instructional technology practice in classrooms across the country.
The National Center for Family Literacy can provide an expert to discuss the findings in the 2011 Nation’s Report Cards in Mathematics and Reading, which will be released Nov. 1 by the National Center for Education Statistics. The release date coincides with National Family Literacy Day.
A National Early Literacy Panel report will be released Jan. 8. Experts from the National Center for Family Literacy, including the report's principal investigator, will be available for interviews. The report identifies literacy practices that build the skills needed for later reading success.
The National Commission on Adult Literacy will release a report Thursday on the crisis and solutions for adult education and workforce preparation. Commission member Sharon Darling -- who is president & founder of the National Center for Family Literacy -- is available for interviews.
